Aaron Horvath

Aaron Horvath reads to me like a key architect of modern animation. Born in Orange County, California in 1980, he co-developed Teen Titans Go!, a show whose breezy, anarchic humor reached audiences worldwide, and he went on to direct its feature film. Add his involvement with the Super Mario Bros. movie and you have someone who helped carry beloved properties onto the big screen. Making animation that lands with kids and adults alike demands both rigorous structure and genuine playfulness, and a creator who can move from storyboard to director's chair has both. He's a true storyteller.
