Ai George

Ai George is the kind of name that just sounds like show business, and honestly that's a great sign before you've even heard a note. Born in 1933 and straddling both singing and acting, he belonged to that era of Japanese entertainers who didn't need Auto-Tune or a social media team — just a microphone, a stage, and the nerve to fill a room with their voice alone. I don't know every chapter of his career, and I'll be straight about that, but the fact that he kept a foot in both worlds, song and screen, tells me he had range and the kind of restless energy that doesn't let you stay still. That's the seasoned, unhurried cool you only earn by actually living through the decades — and he carried it until he passed in 2025.
