Alexandra Daddario

Alexandra Daddario is one of those actors who initially gets attention for being impossibly striking — those wide, intensely blue eyes are genuinely hard to look away from — but what keeps me watching is that she clearly has more going on than just a great face. She grew up in New York City, studied at Marymount Manhattan College, and earned her big break as Annabeth Chase in the Percy Jackson films, which honestly was a smart move: smart, tough heroine, massive built-in fanbase. She then bounced through blockbusters like San Andreas alongside Dwayne Johnson and the gloriously dumb Baywatch movie without ever seeming like she was phoning it in, which takes more skill than people credit. I think her best work tends to be in smaller, weirder projects where she gets to lean into that quiet, slightly unsettling quality she carries naturally. She's a genuinely capable actor still finding the role that will define her, and I'm rooting for her to land it.
