Amy Davidson

Amy Davidson earns my respect for the kind of role that rarely gets headlines. As Kerry on 8 Simple Rules, this Phoenix-raised actress played the role that holds a family sitcom together, the sibling whose presence sets the emotional temperature of every scene. That work is harder than flashy leads, because it demands consistency and warmth rather than spectacle. I find performers who can simply make a household feel real far more valuable than scene-stealers, and I read Davidson as a dependable, finely tuned actor who quietly anchored a show that audiences genuinely loved.
