My Take
Amy Sherman-Palladino writes dialogue like a percussionist, and I suspect her dancer's background is the secret weapon. The rapid-fire, reference-packed banter of Gilmore Girls was already a signature, but The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, which earned her both writing and directing Emmys in 2018, proved she could fully realize her vision on screen, not just on the page. She is a true auteur who controls tone, rhythm, and texture down to the syllable. I love creators who have such an unmistakable voice that you can identify their work within thirty seconds, and she absolutely qualifies.
