Anna Shaffer

Anna Shaffer strikes me as an actor who quietly engineered a real career rather than chasing a quick spotlight. From a small role as Romilda Vane in Harry Potter, to years anchoring Hollyoaks, to playing Triss Merigold in Netflix's The Witcher, she has steadily climbed without much tabloid noise. Making the leap from a teenage bit part to credible adult lead is harder than it looks, and she has managed it with a kind of unhurried confidence. I find that trajectory genuinely admirable, and I suspect her most interesting, character-driven work is still ahead of her.
