Anthony Cumia

Anthony Cumia is a figure I approach with caution, and that is exactly why he interests me. As half of Opie and Anthony from 1995 to 2014, he helped define an entire era of shock-jock radio, all sharp edges and no filter. He is polarizing, and his career has had its share of controversy. Still, I find something stubbornly admirable in a broadcaster who, after losing his network platform, simply built his own and kept talking. Whatever you make of his content, the man clearly lives to hold a microphone. That kind of refusal to be silenced is its own statement.
