My Take
Ari Emanuel is one of the most powerful figures in entertainment that most fans never see on screen, and I find that endlessly interesting. As executive chairman of WME Group and CEO of TKO Group, he sits atop a media empire that includes the UFC and WWE. He was a founding partner of Endeavor and engineered its 2009 merger with William Morris, which reshaped the agency business. I'm always drawn to the dealmakers behind the talent — the people who quietly decide which careers get launched. A Macalester College graduate from Chicago, he's proof that agents can wield more influence than the stars they represent.
