Atsushi Fujimoto

I have a soft spot for guys like Atsushi Fujimoto, the kind of infielder who never needed to be the loudest name on the roster. Born in Akashi, Hyogo back in 1977, he came up as one of those scrappy, do-the-dirty-work middle infielders the Hanshin Tigers leaned on through the 2000s, and honestly that archetype is my favorite flavor of baseball. At 174cm he's no towering slugger; he's the steady-glove, move-the-runner-over, bunt-when-it-matters type whose value shows up in the wins more than the highlight reels. Less neon, more sweat, and I respect the heck out of that.
