Atsushi Nakazato

Honestly, a pro baseball pitcher feels like another universe to me, but something about Atsushi Nakazato pulls me in. A Saitama kid out of Asaka, born in 1982, standing a towering 185cm on the mound — I can already picture the quiet menace of that frame staring down a batter. I've always been more drawn to pitchers than home-run heroes; there's a stillness in a guy who stakes everything on one ball that I find weirdly moving, and you sense it even through a screen. I don't know all his numbers, but a guy who clawed his way up from Saitama betting his whole life on the next pitch? That alone makes me want to root for him.
