Benny Johnson

Benny Johnson is impossible to discuss without acknowledging the politics, but what interests me as an editor is his media adaptability. From Iowa newsrooms through Breitbart, National Review and The Daily Caller to a YouTube channel decorated with Silver and Gold Play Buttons, he has migrated across formats faster than most of his contemporaries. I take no side on his content, yet the instinct for where audiences are moving is real and worth studying. Love him or loathe him, he is a useful case study in how modern commentary travels from print to platform, and that alone makes him notable.
