Bruce Campbell

Bruce Campbell occupies a special place in my mind as the king of the cult film. His turn as Ash Williams in Sam Raimi's Evil Dead saga is a masterclass in balancing genuine menace with self-aware comedy, a tone almost nobody else can hit. What I love is that he never chased prestige; he built a devoted following through low-budget gems and stayed gloriously himself. Actor, writer, producer, director, with a Saturn Award to boot, yet he wears it all lightly. I have a real soft spot for performers who carve their own lane and own it completely. He absolutely does.
