My Take

Bruce Glover was the sort of character actor who made movies richer simply by showing up. His unsettling turn as the assassin Mr. Wint in Diamonds Are Forever remains indelible, but I value just as much his decades of supporting work in Chinatown, Walking Tall, and beyond. There is an honorable craft in playing the menacing figure at the edge of the frame and making it linger, and he mastered it. That he fathered the gloriously eccentric Crispin Glover feels fitting. With his passing in 2025, I think we lost a true journeyman whose quiet excellence deserves remembering and celebrating.
