Bushizawa Tomoharu

Honestly, the moment I see someone listed as a jockey my respect just goes up automatically — these are people who spend their careers in this brutal balancing act of building a bond with an animal that outweighs them by ten or fifteen times, all while keeping their own body at weights that would make most of us miserable. Growing up in snow-country and ending up on the track feels like a quiet, deliberate kind of journey rather than a flashy one, and I find that genuinely compelling. He's not the type who dominates the celebrity feed or lands glossy magazine spreads, but that's kind of the point — there's a whole world of craft happening out there that exists completely outside the noise, and jockeys like him are living proof of it.
