Carson Kelly

Carson Kelly is one of those players who you can tell genuinely loves being behind the plate — the guy has always been a catcher's catcher, the kind of backstop pitchers rave about in interviews. He spent years quietly developing under Yadier Molina in St. Louis, which is honestly the best possible apprenticeship for a defensive-minded catcher, and when Arizona finally gave him the starting job he proved he belonged. His offensive upside never quite exploded the way some scouts projected, but his game-calling and blocking chops are legit, and he bounces around rosters not because teams don't want him but because everyone wants a piece of what he brings. Drafted out of Westview High in Oregon and still grinding — I respect the longevity.
