Chiaki Itō

I'll admit my first mental image of Chiaki Itō is the bright-lights version, all sparkle and choreography from her group days, but what actually wins me over is the quieter stuff underneath. At 153cm she's tiny and reads as the lovable, approachable type, yet the resume is anything but small, modeling, singing, dancing, acting, all of it. What I respect is that she clearly has taste and actually turns it into something concrete instead of coasting on cuteness. Sweet on the surface, stubborn spine underneath, and that balance is rarer than it looks. I like people who keep building when the spotlight moves on.
