Christopher Daniel Barnes

What fascinates me about Christopher Daniel Barnes is how he built a career on the most invisible of crafts: the voice. To a generation he simply is Spider-Man, and to another he is Prince Eric. Few performers manage to be that quietly omnipresent. Starting as a child model and sliding between animation, Disney features, and live-action comedy like the Brady films, he strikes me as a true utility player who never demanded the spotlight to be essential. I admire performers who let the work outshine the name, and Barnes is a textbook case of exactly that kind of durable, unflashy talent.
