My Take
For me, Jason London will always be Pink from Dazed and Confused, and that is no small thing. Linklater's hazy hangout film lives or dies on its cast feeling effortlessly real, and London's relaxed, unforced presence anchored that mood perfectly. A San Diego native who debuted opposite Reese Witherspoon in The Man in the Moon, he was groomed as a leading man, and while he never became a household superstar, he left a genuine fingerprint on 1990s American cinema. There's also something fascinating about being one half of an acting twin. I respect actors who define an era through a single iconic role, even without the trophies to prove it.
