Christopher Lambert

Christopher Lambert has always fascinated me as an actor who became immortal by playing the immortal. The French-American star broke out as Tarzan in Greystoke, then etched himself into pop culture as the deathless swordsman of Highlander, while also earning a César for Best Actor to silence any doubts about his craft. That slightly unfocused, faraway gaze gave him a mystery few could imitate. I respect that he expanded into producing and writing rather than coasting on his looks. Even past the era that lionized him, he lingers in fans' memories, which is its own kind of immortality.
