My Take
What draws me to Claire Holt is the nerve of the move she made. A Brisbane teenager broke through as a mermaid in H2O: Just Add Water, then used that springboard to leave the safety of home and chase work in the United States. Trading a comfortable local foothold for an unknown market takes real ambition. I read her as a steady builder rather than an awards-chaser, stacking roles patiently to put down roots abroad. I always root for an Australian actor planting a flag on the world stage, and I'm curious where she goes next.
