My Take
Clare Kramer is, to me, the rare actor who makes a villain more magnetic than the hero. Trained at NYU's Tisch and seasoned in everything from Bring It On to The Rules of Attraction, she's best remembered as Glory in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, a role she clearly relished. I have a soft spot for performers who can be playful and menacing at once, and she nails that balance. What impresses me further is her refusal to stay in one lane, moving into directing. An Atlanta kid who sampled stage, TV, and film and then stepped behind the camera reads, to me, as real creative hunger rather than mere versatility.
