Claressa Shields

Claressa Shields is, without exaggeration, one of the most dominant athletes alive right now, and I genuinely think she doesn't get enough credit outside boxing circles. She grew up in Flint, Michigan — a city synonymous with hardship — and turned that into pure fuel, winning back-to-back Olympic gold medals in 2012 and 2016 before going on to collect undisputed titles across multiple weight classes in the pros. Twenty world championships spanning five divisions is a number that sounds made up, but it's real. What gets me most is the hunger she still carries — no coasting, no cashing out. She even dipped into MMA to prove a point and came back to boxing like nothing happened. She's not just the greatest female boxer of her era; she's building a case for all-time greatness, full stop.
