My Take

Cole Strange fascinates me because his story is a scout's gamble made good. Coming out of Chattanooga, a small program, he heard his name called in the first round by the Patriots, which means someone saw rare quality where others saw obscurity. Offensive guard is the most thankless job on the field, anonymous labor that protects everyone else, and that suits a player built on substance over flash. Now grinding with the Chargers, he embodies the kind of dependable, unglamorous excellence I find genuinely admirable. Give me the quiet workhorse over the highlight chaser every time.
