My Take
Colleen Hoover is a genuine self-made phenomenon, and that is exactly why she has my respect. Starting from self-publishing in small-town Texas, she rode word of mouth and reader passion to roughly twenty million books sold. It Ends with Us became a cultural event, and the chilling Verity proves she can pivot from romance into pure thriller without losing her grip. I love how she turned a digitally native readership into a movement rather than waiting for gatekeepers to anoint her. There is something deeply satisfying about a storyteller who built her crown one devoted reader at a time.
