Daichi Kaneko

Honestly, Daichi Kaneko is one of those actors I keep clocking in the background before I realize he's quietly walked off with the whole scene. Hokkaido-born, 1996, that clean 179cm leading-man frame, sure, but what gets me is how unreadable he can be. He's got this face that flips from sunny to slightly haunted without warning, which means he's just as believable as the sweet guy as he is as the one you probably shouldn't trust. There's a cool, unbothered detachment to him, never the type to elbow his way to center stage, yet somehow he's still the thing your eye snaps to. I love that kind of low-key staying power. He doesn't blaze, he simmers, and I'd bet on him being the slow-burn name that sticks around long after the flashier ones fade.
