My Take
Debra Jo Rupp is the kind of actor who makes a whole ensemble warmer just by being in it. As Kitty Forman on That '70s Show, she turned a sitcom mom into the emotional center of the house, and returning to the role in That '90s Show speaks to how completely she owned it. A stage and voice actor as well, with a University of Rochester education behind her, she has the range to do far more than maternal comedy. I have a soft spot for character actors who outlast and out-charm the leads, and Rupp belongs firmly in that beloved category for me.
