Debra Marshall

Debra Marshall's trajectory is exactly the kind of wild arc I love. From an Alabama beauty pageant to wrestling valet to in-ring performer, she colored the late-90s boom era as WCW's Queen Debra and the WWF's simply Debra. That mix of pageant glamour and ringside grit fascinates me, because surviving the chaos of professional wrestling demands far more nerve than the spectacle lets on. I respect anyone whose resume refuses a tidy label, and hers absolutely does. She brought star presence to a business that chews up the unprepared.
