My Take
Del the Funky Homosapien is the kind of artist who rewards patience. The playful name hints at it, but his real gift is the density of his wordplay, a flow that sounds offhand yet reveals careful precision the more you listen. Many know his voice from Gorillaz's Clint Eastwood, but the deeper catalog shows a complete musician who writes and produces on his own terms. What I respect most is how he and the Hieroglyphics crew built a self-contained universe rather than chasing trends. He is a genuine craftsman who chose integrity over commercial metrics, and I am always drawn to that stubborn independence.
