Dennis Holahan

What fascinates me about Dennis Holahan is the rare arc from performer to power-player behind the curtain. He acted on screen, then reinvented himself as an entertainment and intellectual-property attorney at one of California's largest firms. I find that combination unusually credible: a lawyer who once stood under the lights understands the creative stakes in ways pure litigators never can. Born in 1942 in Stamford, he chose substance over spotlight, trading applause for the quiet authority of protecting other people's work. To me that's a deeply principled second act, and I respect anyone who walks away from the camera to do the unglamorous, important work.
