Denzel Curry is the kind of rapper who can switch from blistering, mosh-pit aggression to introspective jazz-inflected reflection without losing his identity, and that range is rare. Coming up out of Carol City and the Raider Klan world, he could have stayed boxed into one lane, but Melt My Eyez See Your Future proved how far his ambition runs.
