My Take

Derek de Lint, born in The Hague in 1950, is a reminder that some of the most quietly compelling screen presences come from outside the English-speaking world. Many viewers know him as Derek Rayne in Poltergeist: The Legacy, but I value the longer arc, a Dutch actor who crossed comfortably between European cinema and international television over decades.
