My Take
Dominique Moceanu earns my deep admiration as one of the defining figures of 1990s gymnastics. As a member of the gold-winning Magnificent Seven at Atlanta 1996, she carried enormous pressure at an age when most are still growing up. What impresses me is not only the medals from the 1995 Worlds and the 1998 Goodwill Games, but the sheer resilience it took to compete at that level so young. I also respect how openly she has spoken about the harder realities of elite gymnastics. To me she is both a champion and a thoughtful voice for the sport.
