Dong Hyun Kim

What I admire about Dong Hyun Kim is the quiet, grinding discipline of his path. He came up through judo at Yong In University, one of Korea's great breeding grounds for the sport, then translated that mat work into a real MMA career, climbing from DEEP and Spirit MC all the way to the UFC welterweight division. At 186 cm he was built to impose control rather than chase highlight knockouts, and I suspect his game leaned on relentless pressure and top position. He is not a flashy name, but as a fighter who took a traditional martial art and proved it on the world stage, he earns my respect.
