My Take
EJ is the kind of leader who earns the title rather than just wearing it — you can feel it in the way &TEAM moves and sounds as a unit. As the group's leader under YX LABELS (formerly Big Hit Entertainment Japan), he carried the weight of debut pressure after getting cut from I-LAND in 2020, only to come back through the &Audition survival show and finally debut in December 2022. That road through two brutal elimination programs before hitting the stage at twenty says everything about his resilience. Vocally he holds his own, but what stands out most is his stage presence — composed, precise, and genuinely magnetic without needing to overdo it. He's the kind of idol you find yourself watching even when the camera is supposed to be on someone else.
