El Mesías

El Mesías fascinates me as a wrestler who has lived multiple lives in one career. Born in Bayamón, he came up through Puerto Rico's IWA as Ricky Banderas, became the messianic El Mesías in Mexico's AAA, and reinvented himself again as the macabre Mil Muertes in Lucha Underground. That kind of total character transformation requires a performer's instinct as much as athletic skill. I'm drawn to talents who can carry entirely separate legends under different names, and his journey across Latin American and American promotions shows a rare adaptability that few in the business ever match.
