Emma Rigby

What I admire about Emma Rigby is her refusal to stay boxed in. She could have coasted as a beloved soap star after Hollyoaks, but instead she crossed the Atlantic to play the Red Queen in Once Upon a Time in Wonderland and took on leading film roles. That kind of restless reinvention is rare among performers who find early fame, and it tells me she trusts her own range more than the safety of a familiar audience. From a small town like St Helens to American fantasy television is a genuinely bold arc, and I find myself rooting for wherever she goes next.
