Eric Burlison

Eric Burlison strikes me as the kind of homegrown politician whose biography is the message. Born in Springfield and educated at Missouri State, he climbed from the state house to the U.S. Congress representing his own backyard. I am drawn less to party labels than to that steady, ground-up trajectory, because representatives who genuinely come from the place they serve tend to understand it. Whether or not you share his politics, there is something credible about a public figure rooted in a specific community rather than parachuted in. I find that local-to-national arc quietly compelling and worth watching.
