My Take

Erin Wasson interests me because she refused to stay in her lane. Plenty of models log runway hours; far fewer cross over into design and styling and build a genuine aesthetic of their own. Coming out of Irving, Texas, and turning that into a multifaceted career in fashion suggests an appetite for control over her own image that I find compelling. There is something distinctly Aquarian and individualist about an artist who would rather interpret trends than chase them. I tend to gravitate toward creatives who are hard to pin down, and Wasson reads as exactly that kind of restless, self-directed talent.
