Evander Holyfield

Evander Holyfield is one of those fighters who genuinely makes you rethink what's possible in boxing. Growing up in Alabama and making his way to the 1984 Olympics, he then became the only four-time world heavyweight champion — that alone puts him in a conversation very few people can join. His two wars with Riddick Bowe were brutal, brilliant heavyweight chess matches, and even his infamous bouts with Mike Tyson (yes, including *that* ear incident) showed a guy who simply refused to be rattled by anything. What I respect most is that Holyfield was never just a physical specimen — he was a thinker in the ring, deeply religious, and he carried a certain dignified intensity that felt uniquely his own. His 2017 induction into the International Boxing Hall of Fame was long overdue but completely deserved.
