Eve Best

Eve Best is a stage-trained actor in the truest sense, and you can feel it on screen. An Oxford graduate and Olivier Award winner, she earns the room with weight rather than flash. Many know her as Dr O'Hara in Nurse Jackie, but for me she's unforgettable as Princess Rhaenys in House of the Dragon, commanding entire scenes with a single steady look. That theatrical foundation gives her television work a rare honesty. She doesn't oversell; she simply makes everything around her sharper. I have a deep fondness for performers like this, the ones who quietly raise the level of whatever they're in.
