Eyal Berkovic

Eyal Berkovic appeals to me as a thinking footballer. Born in Regba, Israel in 1972, he built his name as a creative attacking midfielder across the Premier League at Southampton, West Ham and beyond, the sort of player who saw passes others missed. What I find compelling is his second act: radio host, television presenter, even club ownership. Players who lived by their footballing brain often translate that sharpness to the microphone. There's something I respect about an athlete who keeps reinventing his relationship with the game long after the boots come off.
