My Take

What draws me to Fernando Menegazzo is precisely what tends to go uncelebrated. A central midfielder, the engine room rather than the goalscorer, he is the kind of player fans rarely chant for yet coaches build around. I like that he comes from Anita Garibaldi, a small inland town in Santa Catarina rather than the glittering big cities, which I imagine bred a grounded, workmanlike temperament.
