My Take

Feroz Khan is the sort of figure I find irresistible: a true multi-hyphenate. Born Zulfiqar Ali Shah Khan in Bengaluru, he acted in over sixty films while also directing, producing, writing, and editing. What earns my admiration most is that he won an IIFA award for a negative role. Excelling as a villain takes a confidence and craft that I rate above conventional leading-man charm. Add his status as a Bollywood style icon and two lifetime achievement honors, and you have a genuine pillar of Indian cinema's golden age. He died in 2009, but his range still impresses me.
