My Take
Freddie Wong fascinates me because he saw, very early, that online video could be a real craft rather than a toy. While most people dismissed YouTube, he was producing slick, VFX-heavy action shorts that genuinely went viral, and he turned that instinct into RocketJump and a channel with millions of subscribers. The tangle of titles attached to him, filmmaker, actor, computer scientist, competitive gamer, is exactly why he is interesting: he sits at the seam where film, games, and the internet all meet. I have a real fondness for people who wedge their obsessions into a career and actually make it work.
