My Take
Genki Sudo's occupation field is a traffic jam: fighter, singer, writer, actor, politician. Born in Kōtō, Tokyo in 1978, he spent 1998 to 2006 as a professional athlete, then moved wholly to the performing side, where most people know him as the man in the matching suit at the front of World Order's precise, deadpan choreography. In 2019 he moved into politics; by September 2021 he was back with the group. That return is the part I keep turning over. Going back to something you publicly walked away from is awkward in a way that starting something new never is — there is no tidy story to tell. He does it without visible difficulty, which reads to me less like restlessness than like meaning it every single time.
