Giannina Facio

Giannina Facio occupies a rare position in cinema: partner to Ridley Scott and a recurring presence in his films from White Squall through Hannibal and Gladiator. What draws me to her is the craftsmanship rather than the glamour. Moving from actor to film producer means she understands both sides of the camera, and holding your own as a performer while standing closest to a major director takes real composure. The Costa Rican, born in 1955 and now Lady Scott, strikes me as someone defined by quiet professional depth. I respect careers built on substance and proximity to great work more than headlines.
