My Take

What strikes me about Henry Martín is that he came out of Mérida in the Yucatán, not from Mexico's footballing heartland, and still rose to captain Club América. Being a Liga MX forward is one of the most pitiless jobs in sport, judged week to week purely on goals, yet he wears the armband at one of the country's biggest clubs. To me that signals leadership that goes beyond the scoresheet. I admire strikers who keep showing up in the box when the goals dry up, and his Scorpio-born stubbornness feels like exactly the right temperament for a number nine living and dying by the finish.
