My Take
Hero Fiennes Tiffin had every excuse to coast on the famous surname and the model looks, yet his choices intrigue me. Playing the young Tom Riddle in Half-Blood Prince was a startlingly cold piece of child acting, and the After films, whatever critics say, proved he could carry a global franchise on charisma alone. Now stepping into Sherlock Holmes for Young Sherlock, he is betting on range over comfort. The interesting question is whether he leans back into the darkness he showed as a child; if he does, the heartthrob phase will look like a warm-up. London keeps producing actors like this.
