My Take
Hugo Weaving owns one of the most instantly recognizable voices in modern cinema, and yet I think his real genius is restraint. Born in Ibadan to British parents and settled in Australia since his teens, he could have lived comfortably off his blockbuster fame forever. Instead he keeps returning to Australian film and theatre, collecting AACTA Best Actor awards across three different decades, 1991, 1998, and 2005, which tells you his peers never stopped rating him.
