Ichiro Ito

Ichiro Ito is the kind of guy who never needed to be the loudest person in the room to make you feel his presence. Born in Yokosuka in 1967, he's a guitarist and composer who clearly chose craft over celebrity — the sort of musician who's happiest when the song is landing right and nobody's clocking who wrote it. That Avex connection tells you there's real commercial instinct here, not just bedroom noodling, but he carries it lightly. Scorpios tend to have that thing where they're way more intense underneath than the surface lets on, and I get that vibe from him — calm, a little private, but with genuine depth running through the work. At this stage of a career that's stretched across decades, there's a settled confidence that younger artists are still chasing. Quietly essential is how I'd put it.
